1. Introduction
GodlyBond operates the GodlyBond mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by using the App's features:
- Account information: name, email address, password (handled securely via our authentication provider), and profile details.
- Couple data: when you link with a partner, shared content you both create — devotional check-ins, mood entries, calendar events and reminders, budgets, goals, to-do lists, photos, countdowns, dream map entries, and trip plans.
- Device and usage information: app version, device type, crash logs, and general usage patterns, used to keep the App working reliably.
- Notifications: a device token used to deliver reminders (e.g. mood check-in prompts, upcoming events) if you enable notifications.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's core features, including real-time syncing between you and your linked partner.
- To send reminders and notifications you've opted into.
- To process subscription payments and manage your GodlyBond+ status.
- To diagnose bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
- To communicate with you about your account or respond to support requests.
4. Data Shared Between Partners
GodlyBond is built around a shared couple space. Once you link accounts using an invite code, content in shared categories (calendar, budget, goals, photos, mood check-ins, and similar) becomes visible to both linked accounts. We do not make this content visible to anyone outside your linked couple space.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the App, including:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database storage, and real-time syncing.
- Apple App Store: subscription billing and payment processing. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Push notification services: to deliver reminders to your device.
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
6. Data Storage & Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by the App.
7. Your Choices & Rights
- You can review and update your profile information from within the App.
- You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at bjcev1@gmail.com. Deleting your account may also remove content shared with your linked partner.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information under applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
GodlyBond is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (adjust if you target a region with a higher age requirement). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll provide additional notice, such as an in-app message.
